Butter Cake

INGREDIENTS

CRUST:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (dry)
  • 1/2 cup melted  butter
  • 1 egg

FILLING:

  • 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 lb. confectioners sugar

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350​​o F.
Grease 9" X 13" X 2" cake pan with butter or baking spray.

CRUST:

Mix cake mix, melted butter and egg by hand. 
Spread in prepared cake pan covering bottom.

FILLING:

In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract and confectioners sugar.  
Beat mixture until smooth with mixer.  Filling will be thick.

Spread filling evenly over crust.

Bake at 350o F for 40 - 50 minutes, until top is golden brown and crystalized.

Refrigerate overnight. Cut into small pieces while cold.

Serves 24 - 36.
